Happy 4th Everyone!

We are staying at home and BBQing up some ribs.
Funny story about that..
When DH bought the ribs the grocery checkout girl wouldn't touch them. She even made a comment to him about how she couldn't stand meat eaters! He couldn't believe how he was treated just for buying meat. So stunned he didn't even say anything to her. He said the bag boy made a joke about it and kind of laughed off her behavior. But come on, you work in a grocery store! If it clashes with your beliefs that much you need to work somewhere else.

So, staying home today BBQing, watching baseball, reading, relaxing. Then tonight we'll watch the city fireworks from our front lawn and set off a few ourselves.

    LOL. Too funny! Aren't MOST people meat eaters??? You just have to laugh - that girl must be in misery.

    I think I would have asked to speak to her supervisor. No way would I let her get away with that kind of disrespect at the cash register. And if she wouldn't touch it, how did it get scanned in, did the bag boy do it? I don't think she'll last long with that kind of attitude and having to call someone over to scan meat. I'm all for people eating whatever, if they want to be vegan that's their right, but if you work in a service industry you need to put your opinions away until after you are off the clock.
