My Friday - Spending & Making Money

August 8th, 2014 at 11:20 pm

We got new tires for the Pathfinder.
It had been three years and three months since the last tire replacement and at least 70k miles. They were really worn, to the point that I was worrying about driving too far on them.
Four new tires, an alignment and taxes/fees came to $960.

I redeemed my Wells Fargo AmEx points for cash into our checking account. That was $550! Big Grin

I made $60 for pet sitting this weekend.

Won $25 cash prize at a veterinary technician meeting this evening.

And I booked a pet sitting job coming up soon that will pay $400.

Looks like the making money will offset the spending. I think I need new tires this year too. It feels like I just got them!

I've been booked most of the past month house and pet sitting and I have bookings through the end of September A client just called asking about availability in September. They want to take a vacation but I can't sit for them-I'm already booked so they moved it to October. They don't want anyone else which is a nice feeling, I don't lose the extra income and it keeps me busy through a usually slow month.

Hoping to stay this busy up to Christmas. Isn't it such an asy side income to earn?

Yahoo on winning a cash prize at a meeting. Terrific extra income pet sitting. I'm pet sitting for friends, 3 week duration, even moving to their house since DH is away, but no remuneration. They take my pup when I'm away and their older pug is the double coat who sheds an incredible amount in this hot weather. I Swiffer every morning but I'm not keeping up!

Do you target extra income to a special goal?
