Reminding Everyone of the Low Cost Tax Prep Site I Use

I know many people are starting their tax returns, or will be soon. I just wanted to remind everyone about the web site *freetaxusa.com*.

It is *free* for federal and $12.95 for state (up from the previous fee of $9.95 - shucks!)

This year will be the eighth year I have used this site to file.

You don't pay until the very end when you are ready to e-file, so you can see if you like it for no cost. Save yourself some big bucks and check it out!

    You gave this tip last year when I was having some issues with out top sites. I hope to use them again! Look for a coupon code...to bring the price down. I have seen some for 25% off the state return, which would bring the cost down to $9.71. It looks like Ebates is giving 25% cash back as well, so you could get it down even lower!!

    I might have to switch to this. I've already put most of my data into Taxact, but using this one would save me about $7 (with state return.) Do they have the feature where you can download data from brokerages?

    FT - No, I have not seen any download features in the past. Everything is you entering your own data. That sounds pretty cool though. Smile
